Relationship between economic class and personality types.
Tried to find answers to problems in his personal life - from Freud, Marx. Added factor of freedom, "whether embraced or escaped from". Three ways to escape from freedom:
- automaton conformity
- change self to match societies expatation
- authoritarianism
- allow to be controlled by another
- destructiveness
- allowing others and world as a whole to move away from

Different focus, "have" claims and "being" claims. Animals have instincts - for humans are acquiring things and orientation. Focus on knowing self and locus of control.
