Well, not entirely, some short updates first. Classes are going pretty well, although we're all a little bit bewildered by QP telling us we're gaining mass but becoming smaller, and the fact that we had to use math for our physics assignment that we aren't learning for another three weeks (according to my diffy q prof). I finished cutting and laying the carpet in my room, but there's still a lot of cleanup to do. Okay, now the links, because they're ever so fun, and easier than coming up with more to talk about quickly:
For mom: http://www.helsinki.fi/bin/phorum/list.php?f=7; I'm told this is a listing of people offering rooms in Helsinki, which someone suggested when I mentioned our theoretical trip.
For Dad and other people that deal with laptop touchpads: http://ubuntu.wordpress.com/2006/09/20/disable-touchpad-temporarily-when-typing/; apparently you can make the touchpad disable itself while you're typing, to avoid the palm/thumb drag effect. A bit of command-line work to configure, but could be interesting.
For everyone that just hates Clippy: http://www.ezprezzo.com/crazypics/office_help.html; Clippy parody.
And lastly, everyone who was disappointed by the last election or just appreciates the humour of John Cleese: http://www.stephaniemiller.com/declarationofrevocation.htm; a satire piece about the immediate future for the US, as of two years ago (should have found this earlier).
