All right, I'm feeling random, so you are hereby subjected to thoughts from driving cross-country, from the serious, to those that just make you shake your head, to those that make you say hmmm....

"Our faith is over 2000 years old.  Our thinking isn't." - Little church somewhere's sign
A car pulling out of a gas station with no license plates and five bullet holes in the driver's door. - Seen in some nondescript town in Illinois
Conjure up a thought of the most stereotypical "Black" way of talking, like you would find in a bad movie or a rap album.  Now apply it to a family of six white people in a Wendy's in Michigan.
Excerpt from conversation with customs agent:
Agent: "Any alcohol or tobacco with you tonight?"
Me: "No."
Agent: "Not bringing back a case of beer for your buddies at school?"
Me: "Well, considering that they're legal there, and I'm not at home, that would be somewhat difficult."
Agent: "Oh yeah, right."
Agent: "I assume you don't have any drugs in the car."
Me: "Just some personal prescriptions, nothing beyond that."
Agent: "No weed with you or anything?"
Me: "Uh, no."
Agent: "I guess it would be pretty silly to buy weed in the States and bring it across the border into Canada."
Me: (laughs) "I suppose."
Agent: "People do it.  But it's silly.  It's cheaper here, and better."
Me: (Uh, 'k.  This must be the night shift...)
