Pages I found interesting today

So I ran across some good stuff in the computer world today, and thought I'd share it in case anyone's interested.  So, since I'm studying and don't have time to write my own things, but there's cool stuff to link to, here they are:

A preliminary review of the 6.06 release of Ubuntu "Dapper Drake" due June 1st.  (Serious review)  http://madpenguin.org/cms/html/47/6699.html
A summary of the new features, from the official Ubuntu site, as they stand at the current (6th) alpha release.  I would recommend checking out the links to the respective pages for Beagle and Deskbar too, which are described briefly, but are pretty cool if you have the time.  http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/flight6
A tour of the new Gnome release, which is the one incorporated in the above, but more specific and in-depth to that aspect.  (Gnome is one option for a desktop environment, the graphical goodness portion of the operating system.  There are hundreds to choose from.)  http://www.gnome.org/~davyd/gnome-2-14/
And finally, a review of switching to Windows.  An unconventional approach to the common Microsoft operating system, written from the point of view of trying to experience and learn Windows XP for someone who hadn't used it before.  A creative writing piece, but with entirely legitimate and serious points, and not quite of the same style as satire.  http://madpenguin.org/cms/?m=show&id=5937

(Feel free to ask for clarification if any of those reference something that you don't know what it is, or just comment as usual of course.)
