Hey, this is probably most applicable to those of you who are graduating this year and starting to look at buying computers for yourself for college.  Since buying my computer and the software to use with it, I have ceased to use the installation of Windows XP Pro that was put on my computer by the manufacturer and all Windows-specific software, replacing it with Ubuntu Linux and open-source alternatives.  So, that means that I have some software that is no longer necessary or of any real use to me, and so if anyone would be interested in purchasing it from me (for less than it would cost for them to get it new retail, of course), talk to me.  Main items available include:
Microsoft Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003 (includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) - retail this would cost you $149.00
Norton Internet Security 2005 from Symantec (includes AntiVirus, Personal Firewall, Privacy Control, AntiSpam, and Parental Controls) - retail this was and 2006 version is $69.99
I would be willing to take care of installation for you if you wish.
(And of course I always have other kinds software to hand out for people that want those too.)
I'd love to unload the Windows XP Pro itself (retails at a ridiculous $299.00 and OEM is still $130) as well, but how that could be done isn't as clear cut as the others, so I'm not sure.
Anyway, that's what I have, so feel free to approach me if you're looking to buy those and interested in saving some money.
